I'm a Chicago girl who was swept away to mid-Missouri (never thought I'd say that) to study Strategic Communication with a focus in Art Direction in the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri. I graduated in May 2018 with my Bachelor's of Journalism as well as a minor in Textile & Apparel Management and a Multicultural Certificate.
I'm a Creative through and through, although I also have a passion for strategic thinking. I've been doing creative work since I learned to pick up a crayon, and I always knew that I would continue with it for my career. Seriously — when I was ten years old and someone asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up, my answer was to be Miranda Priestly. My dream is still to work in fashion, but I'm open to any and all adventures. My skill set and professional experience is in graphic design, content creation, and social media.
I'm pop culture-obsessed, a wannabe yogi, a wanderlust-er, an adventure-seeker, and an overall lover of all things beautiful. I think there's something incomparable about seeing a project come together from start to finish. I recently started a passion project, my Instagram account @looksforlesswithjess because I believe fashion should be for everybody, even if it has to be affordable.
Outside my work, you can find me drinking iced coffee (any time of year), looking at dogs on Instagram, reading Reese’s latest book club pick, or watching New Girl for the thousandth time. Honestly, you'll probably just find me shopping.
